The Fairfax Healthy Communities (FHC) Network believes that we are stronger when we advocate together. FHC seeks to partner with organizations that:

• Share our vision for an equitable, healthy, and livable Fairfax

• Seek to collaborate in advocating for public policies and decision making that further the FHC mission

• Can actively participate and are open to learning from other partners

• Are not-for-profit entities (but non-profit status is not required)

• Have a mission with a strong ethical grounding and a governance structure with identified leadership

As advocates of the FHC mission and vision, partners are encouraged to support FHC initiatives. That said, we recognize that there are situations when partners may not be aligned on all aspects of a campaign, issue or a sign-on letter. Our structure as a network provides the flexibility for organizations to decide not to participate in a given initiative. However, we do believe that our ability to be effective is in part built on our strength as a "big tent," so we seek to attain common ground.
